BUFFALO TURKEY BURGERS - With Orange Habanero

Buffalo Turkey Burgers Recipe
Makes: 4 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons ORANGE POLO GOURMET HOT SAUCE
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 4 whole wheat hamburger buns, split
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 2 celery ribs, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fat-free blue cheese salad dressing
Directions:
- Prepare Turkey Patties: In a large bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of ORANGE POLO GOURMET HOT SAUCE with cumin, chili powder, garlic, salt, and pepper. Add the ground turkey and mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into four 1/2-inch thick patties.
- Cook Patties: In a large nonstick skillet, cook the turkey burgers over medium heat for 4-6 minutes on each side, or until a thermometer reads 165°F.
- Assemble Burgers: Serve the burgers on whole wheat buns with shredded lettuce, chopped celery, fat-free blue cheese salad dressing, and the remaining tablespoon of ORANGE POLO GOURMET HOT SAUCE.
Freezing Instructions:
To freeze, place the uncooked patties on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet and cover them before freezing until firm. Transfer the frozen patties to an airtight container and return them to the freezer. When ready to use, cook the frozen patties as directed, increasing the cooking time as needed to reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
